Being given the chance to be a part of someone’s big day and to make a captivating cake for their wedding is an honour.

I love collaborating with my clients to bring their vision to life and share their sweet favourites with their loved ones. A wedding day lasts in the memory of a couple and their guests forever, and so should the exquisiteness and deliciousness of the cake.

As a cake designer I work closely with my clients to help them discover the perfect cake according to their desired requirements. With so much inspiration out there it can be overwhelming to bring together all those ideas and make one cohesive, beautiful centrepiece. Your cake should showcase you as a couple and present to your guests the story of you, together.

To ensure each couple is given the best service I only take on one wedding per week. By doing this you receive my undivided attention and your cake is created with care and finesse as it should be. You will receive an exceptional level of service to ensure your wedding cake journey is stress free and enjoyable.

First step in your wedding cake journey is to get in touch and see if I have your date available. Complete the contact form or email me at info@gardescakedesigns.co.uk

Upon confirming your date a deposit fee of £50, non-refundable and non-transferable, is required to confirm your date is booked. We can then go through your wedding cake ideas, and I can provide an initial estimate, I strive to work within your budget to create your perfect cake. If you’re unsure of what you want, don’t worry, we will finesse this as we progress, let’s just secure your date first.

Consultations are done via teams video call and take place weekday evenings. I can accommodate the date and time to best suit you and fit around your schedule.

I charge £40 for up to 4 flavours of cake from my flavour menu, which will be delivered to you on the day of your consultation. This way you can enjoy some delicious cake while we start your wedding cake journey. Consultations last about an hour or until we have satisfied your cake vision.

During your consultation I aim to get to know you better as a couple, understand your story and hear about your journey. Getting to know you means I can create a wedding cake perfectly unique and personal to you. Taking in all your cake ideas and inspiration from all elements of your wedding will further help in refining your wedding cake aesthetics.

After your consultation, I will take everything we have discussed and draw out your wedding cake design. I aim to send your design and final detailed quote back within 4 weeks, though it is usually sooner than this. Once I have sent over your design, we can go through it via a call or email to make any last changes and finalise your design. If you would like to keep the final drawn design of your wedding cake, I’m happy to leave this with your cake on the day as a memento.

If you have any last thoughts or would like to make any changes this can be done up to 6 weeks before your wedding, but please note these might have cost implications.

Your cake is made fresh the week of your wedding and nothing is frozen, this means that if you have any leftovers these can be frozen. Guidance will be provided on keeping your cake after the wedding.

Cake setup and delivery by Gardes Cake Designs

Your big day should be stress free and relaxing, that’s why all my wedding cakes are delivered and set up at your venue on the day. I ensure your cake is assembled to perfection, ensuring it is the flawless centrepiece you’ve imagined.

As cakes carry food safety concerns, I do not allow the use of silk flowers on my cakes and all fresh flowers must be non-toxic or edible, I will liaise with your florist to ensure this. I also do not allow florists to add any flowers to my cakes after I have set up.

I will liaise with your venue and florist in the weeks leading up to your wedding to confirm details. The price of delivery and set up will be indicated separately on your quote, delivery will be based on the distance to your venue from my studio.
